Biography
Dale Emel offers a depth of technical expertise, track record of success solving complex business problems, and the ability to design and implement innovative technology roadmaps, including driving development of a new application launching and patching infrastructure for Next Gen Game – Outspark Inc. Throughout Mr. Emel’s career, he has earned a reputation for being a technology leader and gained a strong background in online/e-commerce businesses, technology and management, IT operations, engineering, infrastructure, and security.
Most recently, Mr. Emel was the Vice President of Technology for Next Gen Game – Outspark Inc., an online gaming start-up company, where he led a team of about 15 architects, engineers, and operations staff in the management of web- and client-server applications, infrastructure deployments, network operations, end user support, and operational security. In this position, he doubled game inventory, improved relationships with Korean development partners, and identified more than $100,000 per year in savings.
Mr. Emel came to Next Gen Games after serving as the Director of Technology for Red Envelope, an online retail start-up company. Serving as a senior technology executive, he reported directly to the COO and oversaw all technical direction, budgets, operations, partnership negotiations, and teams. He provided the leadership and vision necessary to achieve customer satisfaction levels of 95% and deliver 99.999% uptime on all technology platforms.
As a Technology Consultant, Mr. Emel successfully turned around technology operations and platforms for multiple high-profile clients, including BlueShield of California, First Republic Bank and Rhapsody of RealNetworks Inc. Earlier in his career, Mr. Emel worked as a Senior Manager for Charles Schwab & Co., managing multi-million dollar budgets for projects in Java development, e-commerce platform architecture, Schwab.com release management, and PMO establishment. Mr. Emel’s career began in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Department of Defense.

Most recently, he attended the CIO Summit at Kennesaw State University and earned his Gold Global Information Assurance Certification in Security Management and Leadership (GSLC).
